They chat with each other, but she knows they are still aware, still scanning the floor, eyeing the entrances. Her knees are gelled, and it feels like she is standing on a deck in a turbulent sea. With little effort, Viserys worked to restart the fire, and for once, Rhaenyra had done as she was told. And when the room was cleared, Viserys lit a few candles and settled at his desk.

"Rhaenyra! Don't drag the poor girl," Aemma called out after her daughter, a mix of concern and amusement in her voice. She turned to Olivia, offering an apologetic smile. "I apologize. Her cousins have sailed back to Driftmark, so she doesn't have many playmates at the moment."
She would’ve hid in the backseat and waited for him, Blackfyre resting on her thigh, finger on the trigger. Fans of the aemond/luc pair, please start respecting the other shipers. The first season received highly positive reviews, with praise towards its character development, visual effects, writing, score by Ramin Djawadi, and performances. However, the pacing, specifically of the time jumps, and the dark lighting of some scenes were criticized. The series premiere was watched by over 10 million viewers across the linear channels and HBO Max on the first day, the biggest in HBO's history.
Seeing him felt like that, going from zero to sixty, but once he was inside Mysaria’s office, left alone, she was wracked with anticipation, sick with anxiety. She wants to call Harwin, but they have plans to meet at her place tonight. His voice would straighten her out, renew her resolve. In the short time they’ve worked together, he has only ever been straight with her, frank about her limitations and the risks. It irritates her, but she needs it, that blunt and fair-minded candor. A small part of her thinks he is the only thing holding her together, reigning her in, because if she were alone, she would’ve broken into Caraxes weeks ago.
"Strike when they can't see you?" she offered, her innocent eyes gleaming with curiosity. Aemma's search for her daughter led her to check beneath the table and amongst the nearby plants. It was then that a mischievous giggle reached her ears, causing her to pause. With a mix of amusement and relief, she reached up and swiftly pulled her daughter into her arms, peppering her face with a shower of affectionate kisses.
The lightness in her chest has too much mass, threatening to implode, and she bites her tongue to trap the word in her mouth, kepa. Rhaenyra swiftly turned and grabbed a large cookie, presenting it to the knight with an enticing smile. "It's a chocolate chip cookie, your favorite," she tempted, attempting to bribe him with the delectable treat. Rhaenyra peered cautiously past the partially open doors of the kitchen, her eyes fixed on the tantalizing plate of sweets resting on the table. "Oh, come on, it will be fine," she replied, a mischievous glimmer in her eyes. Rhaenyra pondered for a moment, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
The defining aspect is an elevated heart rate while being able to maintain conversation. What should your heart rate be when working out, and how can you keep track of it? Our simple chart will help keep you in the target training zone, whether you want to lose weight or just maximize your workout. Find out what normal resting and maximum heart rates are for your age and how exercise intensity and other factors affect heart rate.
What Is a Normal Heart Rate When You're Walking Slowly?
After you’ve gotten the hang of heart rate measurement, you can begin to calculate and monitor your target exercising heart rate. Heart rate monitors are a good way to help you keep an eye on your health. Speak to your doctor if you notice unusual patterns or have symptoms. It’s estimated that more than 2 million people in the UK experience heart rhythm issues. It is not an emergency if the heart rate briefly falls outside the recommended range or if a person has a shift in heart rate that improves with relaxation or deep breathing.

Brisk walks, when incorporated into daily routines, present a straightforward method for individuals at any fitness level to enhance their health. Aiming for at least 30 minutes on most days of the week is a practice observed globally. Some people experience heart rate fluctuations for years, and for other people, the symptoms never go away. Taking measures to manage stress can help reduce the risk of heart-related complications. Interactions between the heart and brain cause the body to respond to emotions, such as anger, depressed mood, and stress. Certain drugs can affect the heart rate and cause the rhythm to jump between high and low beat rates.
What Causes an Elevated Heart Rate When Walking Slowly?
Now you have your maximum heart rate noted down, you’re ready to figure out what a normal heart rate would be for you when doing moderate exercise. Going near — or higher — than your maximum heart rate for prolonged periods of time can be dangerous, and cause you to feel dizzy, short of breath and even ill. Any heart rate at or above 200 bpm while exercising is considered dangerous for most adults.
When Should You Go to the Hospital with AFib?
Your resting heart rate is measured by your pulse when you’re calm, relaxed, sitting or lying down and not ill. When a person has a fluctuating heart rate, they may feel as if their heart rate is jumping up and down. Instead of following a regular pattern, the heart rhythm changes within a short time.
Is arrhythmia serious?
In tachycardia, an irregular electrical signal, called an impulse, starts in the upper or lower chambers of the heart. For some people, radiofrequency catheter ablation completely cures the abnormal rhythm, and no other treatment is needed. This is also known as coronary heart disease or coronary artery disease. It means your heart muscle can’t get enough blood and oxygen because of blockages in the coronary arteries. About beats per minute is ideal, says Suzanne Steinbaum, DO, director of women's heart health at Lenox Hill Hospital.
When to contact a doctor
A person with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) may experience an increased heart rate upon standing up. They may also experience dizziness and a drop in blood pressure. However, some people have heart rates outside these ranges and are still perfectly healthy. For example, an elite athlete may have a very low resting heart rate of 40 bpm. A person’s heart rate changes throughout the day to meet the demands of the body.
How is ventricular tachycardia treated?
Within the higher end of the range is the target heart rate for high-intensity, vigorous workouts. A normal adult heart rate is between 60 and 100 bpm while resting. Your heart rate can change every minute and what’s ‘normal’ is different for everyone because of their age and health. Your lifestyle - such as whether you smoke, exercise and how much alcohol you drink - also affects your heart rate. Your heart rate (also known as your pulse rate) is the number of times your heart beats per minute (bpm).
Alternatively, count the beats for 30 seconds, then multiply by two. If checking your resting heart rate, count the beats when you haven’t been exercising or physically active for at least 10 minutes. Incorporating pace measurement into walking routines can enhance effectiveness.
Using the technique described above, determine your resting heart rate and record this number to share with your doctor. You might try checking your resting heart rate for a few days in a row to confirm that your measurement is accurate. Alternatively, you can use a heart rate monitor, which determines your heart rate automatically. You can program it to tell you when you’re above or below your target range. A very sedentary person’s heart rate may increase when walking from one room to another. However, a resting heart rate of 110 or 120 bpm (really, anything above 100 bpm) is considered high and warrants a call to your doctor, as it could be a sign of a medical condition.
AFib is characterized by irregular and often rapid heartbeats originating in the atria (upper chambers of your heart). As long as you’re in or very close to the normal range, you’re doing great. Those who are particularly fit and healthy, such as athletes or exercise-mad youngsters may not see much of an increase, but the vast majority of the population should.
If you have hyperthyroidism, your thyroid gland produces excess thyroid hormone, which can cause your heart to beat harder and faster. It could even trigger abnormal heart rhythms in some people, per Harvard Health Publishing. If you haven't walked for exercise in a while (whether slowly or quickly), you may find yourself feeling a little out of breath. This is because your heart muscles haven't been worked out lately, making them weaker and resulting in a higher heart rate. Doctors usually consider a heart rate of over 100 bpm too high, but whether or not it is dangerous can depend on various factors. Your heart rate can increase temporarily, for example, when exercising.
We do not offer individual medical advice, diagnosis or treatment plans. For personal advice, please consult with a medical professional. It’s also important to know the normal “maximum” heart rate during vigorous activity and the “target” heart rate for your age.
Certain underlying conditions are typically the true decider of what a “dangerous” heart rate is. For athletes and people that exercise regularly, a heart rate of under 60 beats per minute is normal and even healthy. The best way to prevent tachycardia is to keep the heart healthy.
They can tell you which exercises are safe and appropriate for your condition and fitness level. They’ll also determine what your target heart rate should be and if you need to be monitored during physical activity. A person’s walking heart rate can vary depending on their age, fitness level, and individual factors.
With ventricular tachycardia, fast heartbeats keep your heart from sending enough blood to your tissues and cells. Resting heart rates exceeding 100–120 beats per minute are often considered concerning and may warrant medical attention, especially if symptoms are present. This person's target heart rate range while walking is between 85 and 144.5 bpm. With that in mind, it could be normal to have a heart rate of 120 or 130 when walking, depending on your age and how much you're exerting yourself. At Statcare, we can help you find specialists that offercomprehensive cardiology services to help you maintain a healthy heart.

Note that certain medications that are taken to reduce blood pressure can also lower your resting and maximum heart rates, with the latter affecting your calculation for target zone rate. If you’re taking medication therapy for a heart or other cardiovascular condition, ask your doctor whether you should use a lower target heart rate zone for exercising. The number of times your heart beats in a minute while your body is at rest is known as the resting heart rate. Average resting heart rate varies from 60 to 100 beats a minute. People who regularly indulge in physical activity may have a normal resting heart rate as low as 40 beats per minute. This is because they have a healthy heart muscle that does not need to work too hard to maintain a steady rhythm.
How To Lower Your Resting Heart Rate
In this case, you may need to adjust your walking intensity to maintain your target heart rate and continue experiencing the health benefits [5]. It's important to remember that "normal" heart rates will vary greatly from person to person. Factors like physical fitness, heart health and overall health will play a role in how fast your heart beats. A typical resting pulse rate for adults is between 60 and 100 beats per minute. Depending on your activity level, your rate can be higher or lower.
Target Heart Rates Chart
Most heart conditions can lead to different forms of tachycardia. An example of an irregular heart rhythm is atrial fibrillation (AFib). Being aware of your heart rate and how you’re feeling can help you to know when to seek care. Prompt treatment is important for ventricular tachycardia, so don’t delay getting help for yourself or a loved one.
What is a dangerous heart rate for those with AFib?
Have you noticed your heart rate increasing while walking around your house? Aheart rate of 120 beats per minute (BPM) or higher can be concerning, especially if you're not engaging in any strenuous physical activity. In thisblog post, we'll explore the potential causes of a heart rate of 120 whilewalking around the house and when to seek medical attention. The heart rate or ‘pulse rate’ is defined as the number of times your heart beats in a minute. While mostly useful in monitoring our fitness level, your pulse is also one of the first markers used to ascertain your health by a doctor. After you locate your pulse, count the number of beats you feel for 15 seconds, then multiply that number by four.
Using a Smartwatch or Heart Rate Monitor
We also offer same-dayappointments and virtual care options to ensure you receive the care you needwhen you need it. By keeping track of your walking heart rate, you can better manage your weight. Exercise intensity has a direct correlation with the number of calories burned during a workout [7]. Walking at an intensity that keeps your heart rate within the target zone can help you burn more calories and promote weight loss. Walking, a simple yet powerful form of exercise, offers a plethora of health benefits that often go unnoticed. One of the most vital aspects of walking is its impact on heart rate.
A resting heart rate above 100 bpm is too fast for most people. A fast heart rate, also known as tachycardia, can be caused by health conditions. These conditions can include infection, anaemia (a lack of red blood cells carrying oxygen in your blood) and an overactive thyroid (where too many hormones are made).

During more intense activity, such as exercising, running or working out with weights, your target heart rate should be about 70% to 85% of your maximum heart rate. A heart rate that’s too high or low—especially a rate that’s higher or lower than your usual resting heart rate—could be a sign of medical issues or other health conditions. In adults, a typical resting heart rate is 60–100 beats per minute, but structural or electrical disorders of the heart can cause it to rise or fall. Medications, a lack of sleep, and stress may also affect heart rate. You can measure it while at rest (resting heart rate) and while exercising (training heart rate).
Is a heart rate of 200 dangerous?
As a general guide, below are the average maximum heart rates and target heart rate zones by age for adults, according to the American Heart Association. Meanwhile, a resting heart rate that’s too low could cause dizziness, lightheadedness, fatigue or even fainting, which is dangerous and should not be ignored. If a person notices a sudden spike in their heart rate that does not appear to have any cause, such as stress or certain foods, contact a doctor.
During ventricular fibrillation, blood pressure drops dramatically. The person's breathing and pulse stop because the heart is not pumping any blood to the body. When you have ventricular tachycardia, less blood than normal goes to your cells and tissues. This is because your fast heartbeats don’t allow enough time for your heart chambers to fill up before the next beat. It’s like a bus that stops so briefly at a bus stop that it leaves people behind because there isn’t time for everyone to board. Both extremely high and low heart rates in AFib can lead to symptoms, discomfort, and potentially serious complications, emphasizing the importance of medical attention and management.
There are many possible causes and triggers, including anxiety, caffeine, nicotine, and the use of various prescription and recreational drugs. A wide range of health conditions can lead to PSVT, such as hypothyroidism, some types of heart disease, lung disease, and pulmonary embolism. Resting heart rate can vary from person to person and can be influenced by a variety of factors.

The Mission Revival style in particular lasted only maybe a quarter-century, until World War I. To my way of thinking, it is not attractive, with that arched roofline like a dromedary’s hump. The Times’ first publisher’s house, on Wilshire Boulevard, was a Mission Revival building that was turned into the first home of the Otis Art Institute. Easterners built the foundations of our architectural buffet when they brought their tastes in dwellings with them, whether the style suited the landscape and climate or not. The Greek Revivals and Georgian Colonials of Lexington and Concord were re-created on the streets of L.A., where they stood defiantly apart, wood amidst adobe, Anglo among Californio. Craftsman-style homes are also commonly referred to as "Arts and Crafts" homes. The movement emphasized the value of handcrafted artisanship over mass-produced goods, a philosophy that strongly influenced the design principles of Craftsman homes. Most concrete block (CMU) homes have 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 exterior walls on the 2nd story. Most fantastic of all are the hillside houses made possible by engineering and genius design.
